Terms of Service

Effective: 19 May 2026 · Last updated: 19 May 2026

These Terms govern your use of Marma. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. Please read carefully — they include important information about subscriptions, refunds, and the limits of what Marma can do.

1. What Marma is

Marma is an artificial-intelligence assistant that analyses text you paste — emails, chats, messages, contracts — and returns an interpretation of tone, intent, and suggested responses. It is intended for general guidance only. Marma is not a replacement for human judgement, legal counsel, therapy, or professional advice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Marma or 16 with parental consent if you live in the EU. By using the app, you confirm you meet this requirement.

3. Account

Marma creates an anonymous account on first launch so we can track your decode quota. You may optionally link a Google account to preserve your subscription across reinstalls. Keep your linked account credentials safe — you are responsible for activity on accounts linked to your device.

4. Free tier

5. Premium subscription

Pricing

Marma Premium is sold exclusively through Google Play Billing at the price shown in your local currency on the in-app purchase screen (e.g., USD 9.99 / month in the United States, INR 399 in India). Regional pricing may vary.

Free trial

New users receive a 7-day free trial. We do not charge during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected payment method will be charged the regular monthly price.

Renewal

Premium renews automatically each billing cycle until cancelled. The charge appears on your Google Play receipt.

Cancellation

You can cancel at any time through your Google Play account: play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions. You retain Premium access until the end of the current paid period.

Payment failure

If a renewal payment fails:

You may resubscribe at any time to restore Premium.

6. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Google Play. Refunds are governed by Google's policies:

7. EU 14-day withdrawal right

If you live in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have a right of withdrawal for 14 days from purchase under EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU as amended by Directive 2023/2673. By starting the free trial or completing a purchase you may be asked to expressly waive this right in order to receive immediate access to Premium content. You can still request a refund via the procedure in Section 6.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We may suspend any account that violates these rules without refund of the current billing period if the violation is severe.

9. Content you submit

You are responsible for the content you paste into Marma. By submitting text you confirm you have the right to share it for the purpose of analysis. Marma does not claim ownership of your input, does not retain its content after analysis (see Privacy Policy), and does not use it for AI training.

10. AI output disclaimer

Marma's analyses are generated by an AI system and may contain errors, omissions, or biases. They are not professional advice. Do not rely on Marma for legal, medical, financial, or therapeutic decisions. We make no warranty about accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose.

11. Service availability

We aim for 99% availability but do not guarantee it. Maintenance, third-party outages (Anthropic, Google Cloud, AdMob), or network issues may cause temporary disruption. We are not liable for losses resulting from downtime.

12. Liability limit

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Marma's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the app is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Marma is not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive damages.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in-app at least 14 days before they take effect. The latest version is always at marma.app/terms. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the developer's principal place of business as listed in the Google Play Store.
